I have been looking and looking for headers for the 94 st 7a-fe. I know that someone out there sells them but I feel that I'm going to grow old looking for them. It's like the Holy Grail does it really exist. I need some help.

FYI - adjustable cam sprockets, pulley kits and underdrive pulleys all from OBX Racing Sports.
All these items are listed for the 93-97 Toyota Corolla 1.8L which has exactly the same 7A-FE motor as our 94-99 Toyota Celica ST's.

Check out http://www.obxracingsports.com for more info.

Are any of the things we are talking about worth the money? that's the big question.

depends on how much the headers are. I would say no. They "probably" give you about 5-20hp. Most of them will cost you a couple of hundred dollars. For $50 bucks you could make a cold air intake. Which will give you about the same as headers. If you are serious about you celi then save up when the turbo kit for the ST comes out. Only if you are interested in something like that. Otherwise, I would go for the CAI.

It all depends on how much you love your celi, I am willing to spend the money on her to make he growl. Thanks for the tip on the headers, I found the at NOPI, just a couple hundred bucks. But if i'm getting the headers for her, I might as well go for the C.A.I. as well why bother screwing around right?

Despite what people say, you can get any muffler you want, as long as you have a local shop change out your pipe to a 2.5 or three inch. That's if you are planing the turbo route. If not, it really doesn't matter.

OK...here's the low down:
Noone makes a header especially for the 94-99 Celica ST (7AFE).
There is a header for the 93-97 Corolla (7AFE) [OBX makes one].
This corolla header will fit BUT the down pipe is tooo short - you'll need an extra bit of pipe.
There is a very good "How-to" on this.

As for price for the header ...
Ceramic coated one avaiable at $150+ (+ shipping).

Here's a thought...
The 93-97 Corolla header comes in 2 parts - 4-1 header + down pipe.
There is also a header for a 94-99 Celica GT, again this comes in 2 parts - 4-1 header + down pipe.

Now, knowing that the Greddy SP cat back system for the 94-99 Celica GT fits the 94-99 Celica ST...

How about the Corolla 4-1 header with the 94-99 Celica down pipe ?

If they are made by the same company, and you got a curious person on the phone from the company, I can see it. Just get them to check and see if it works. (and they are 4-2-1 headers)

THIS COULD BE THE SCOOP OF THE CENTURY ...

I have found a company (Aerospeed) and a site (Street Styler) that list headers for the following:
1. Aerospeed Chrome Header, 94-99 Celica, AR0800911.
2. Aerospeed Chrome Header, 94-99 Celica GT, AR0800912.
3. Aerospeed Chrome Header, 93-97 Corolla, AR0800960.

I have sent an e-mail to each of them asking specifically if the first one (AR0800911) fits a 97 Celica ST (AT200) 1.8L (7AFE).

When I get a reply, I'll let you know.

OK..I have a reply regarding the Aerospeed headers.
Steve from StreetStyler.com has confirmed that the Aerospeed Header
(Chrome 94-99 Toyota Celica Ref.: ARO800911)
WILL FIT the 94-99 Celica ST.

See http://www.streetstyler.com/ArospeedChromeHeaders.htm
These are currently priced at $199.95
However, they are currently out of stock BUT should have some more in a few weeks time.

He is also prepared to consider a Group Buy purchase.
(If all that are ordered are sent to one address).
As for how much they will be, I honestly don't know.
I guess it entirely depends upon how many are bought.

So initially - WHO'S INTERESTED?

BTW: I'll be posting in the Group Buy section on Celica.net as well.

Hey GT-4,
If you could get down to see Arospeed that would be brilliant.
Arospeed
10776 SW 190 Street #B
Miami, Florida 33157
...Or may be even a phone call -
toll free 866.276.7733
(I sent an e-mail to them and got no response).

If you can confirm what I have found out through StreetStyler.com,
It would re-assure a lot of people who are interested in buying a bolt-on, no modification, header (with positions/places for the upper and lower 02 sensors) for their 94-99 Celica ST.

Thanks.

BTW: I have sent this message as a PM to you as well.

I have had no reply to my e-mail on the 02 sensor issue.

I'm going to try and call Arospeed or Street Styler tonight and find out for myself.

Please bare in mind that I have about a +5-8 hour time difference.
...and my only internet connection is at work.
I'll post my findings tomorrow.

Bl**dy 'ell! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif
Trying to get hold of someone at Arospeed ain't easy.
I phoned 3 times last night and twice today...
and all I get is automatically put on hold listening to the bleeding local radio station.
mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif
(and what's more it's not toll free to me - so 5 minutes listening to music costs me a fortune).

I'll keep trying, but can someone else try as well.

I have some really good news. smile.gif

I asked Steve at StreetStyler.com if the headers had the places/fixations for the upper and lower 02 sensors.
The reply I got was:
'Yes they do'.

He also said he would let me know when they come in.
(This may take a couple of weeks or so).

For the moment I do not have any prices for a Group Buy.
Basic price is $199.95 + shipping so we'll be able to get it cheaper than that.
This is something I will have to negotiate with him when they come in.
It obviously depends on the number of definite orders placed.
I believe he also mentioned to me that in order to accept a Group Buy there had to be a single unique shipping address.
(Or if someone can pick them up and organise individual shipping).

I for one am definitely in if I can get it for $170 or less (that's 15% discount).

So what's the next steps...

1. Of the list of people that expressed an interest:
Myself vphmc.
From this site:
Jeremey922
Jussimple
PaulGT
burningcelica
Milds3vn
edo17982
RedSunCelica

From the Celica.net site:
spyrul
forkee
zidra
celicakid84
jensen
MadLion90
neipas09
gh0std0g
The Evilspeed Toe
SilverCell94

HOW MANY OF YOU (OR ANYONE ELSE FOR THAT MATTER) WOULD DEFINITELY BUY IF THE PRICE WAS, LET'S SAY, MAX. $170 + SHIPPING?

2. IS THERE ANYONE THAT WOULD VOLUNTEER TO PICKUP ALL THE HEADERS FROM
Street Styling IN Clifton Heights, PA AND THEN SHIP THEM INDIVIDUALLY?
NOTE: This is quite a repsonsibilty because it would involve picking up ALL the headers from Street Styling directly and then the organising and sending of each individual header to each member.

Yes, I guess one can be sent to Italy for you.
(Afterall, I want one sent to France).

As for shipping price????
My guess would be, using UPS, somewhere in the region of $100-150 (+ @$50 import duty).
At least that's by my calculations - could be more could be less!

Yes it is worth putting on a header but to get best results from it you need to change your exhaust system as well.
I suggest an air intake system first, but it depends on how much you have to spend.

FYI:
Four essential elements for engine power are:
AIR(air intake system upgrade);
FIRE(spark plugs, wires & fire timing upgrade);
FUEL(fuel regulator upgrade)
EXHAUST (header & exhaust system upgrade)

i called aerospeed today and asked about a direct fit header for the st and they told me it would not be out until this summer and it is going to retail for $325. i also called the toyota dealer near me and asked for the part #'s for the exhaust manifold's for the 94-95 celica st and he said the 93-97 coralla are the same as long as you have federal emissions.

This is a question that keeps cropping up, so let's get things straight.

The 93-97 Corolla headers (which ever manufacturer, doesn't matter they are all the same) DO NOT FIT the Celica ST without modification. The downpipe is too short.
(Please see the "How-To" article that explains the modification necessary).

As far as the price is concerned, Street Styler advertise them for $199.95.
As far as the delay is concerned, Street Styler said they should have some in a couple of weeks or so.
I'll follow this up.

Milds3vn thanks for your offer.
I'll send you a PM and explain what would need to be done.

I have contacted, via e-mail, Street Styler and asked them to confirm with Arospeed the availablity for the headers.

I am hoping that Street Styler have some clought with Arospeed.

I told Street Styler that I had 16 people interested (which should help the cause).
I also asked for an approx. GB price based on 10 fixed orders.
(Why 10 - many people interested but when it turns to serious orders....)

Anyway, as soon as I know you'll know too.

Anyone hear from them yet? I tried to call them but I'm on hold to long. If you go on the website www.arospeed.com it states that they make them in Stainless Steal so I'm not sure where streetstyler.com is coming with the Chrome Finish.

Anyhow our part number is AR0800911 not AR0800913. You can verify this on arospeeds website.

Does anyone even have this header at all or know that someone has it?

Okay everyone I just found out from Arospeed that the headers will not be available till 2004. I don't know why they are advertising them so early.

Anyhow just an FYI all.

Of course it exists. But if you try ordering them i bet you anything that your shop is told they won't be available until next year or they send you a corola header and tell the shop to add a pipe to it.
