Just unsdrew the bolts that keep the compressor housing fixed to the backplate and rotate it, the fix again bolts

Yeah man, loosen all the bolts from the back of the housings and rotate. Then, mark the position and pull it back out and tighten them. Make sure that the drain line is pointing exactly down and the feed exactly up, that was you won't have a weird problem that happens when **** is diagonal and not up and down.

In other words, once you rotate the compressor and exhaust housings where you want them, HOLD them and ROTATE the cartridge (middle part) so the feed is exactly up and the drain exactly down. That way you'll get a perfect drain. It's really more for the benefit of the drain, as the feed is pressurized so it doesn't matter, but they're exactly in the opposite side so that's why I said it like that, hehe.

yup, its called reclocking the tubo.
make sure the actuator for the waste gate is mounted properly afterwords tho, that can cause problems if you dont do it right. -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

yeah. thx guys. instead of bolts or screws on the compressor housing it was a giant snap ring that needed to be compressed in order to turn it.
thx for u help. im having my school machine shop make a custom down pipe. its cool stuff. i guess i need a 3sgte 2 bar map sensor. anyone got one. or 7mge injectors. thx for u help again. its going good so far. -------------------- |

just some advice, plan on getting a new fuel pump. $91, and you will never have fuel problems, compair that to the cost of a rebuild after going lean and detonating, and its well worth it. mine crapped out and went really lean, had to turn down the boost and actually stopped driving the car for a few days also something to modify the fuel maps would be great to have(safc) -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition

how many miles do you have on your car? my pump worked well too, but when the tank was low, it had a hard time keeping up and after i installed my new turbo, i had a spike to 10.5psi and the pump crapped out after that while in boost, the car would go extremely lean for about 1/2 a second every other second. trust me, $91 is well worth it when you think about what can happen when your stock fuel pump gives out from age and extra stress and you melt your pistons from going lean. the 5sfe fuel system is supposedly good to 160hp@crank. you already have 130-135 at the crank 4psi would put you right at the limit. I was looking at you pics of the turbo stuff that you are using and it looks like you got a mkIII supra turbo & supra elbow downpipe??? If that is what you are talking about facing back to the block where the exhaust comes out ...you will never correct that problem! you will have to get a different downpipe... The turbo can be used with a 3sgte 1st gen manifold and 1st gen downpipe! you will have to modify the actuator for it to fit though....
I ran into that problem last year when i did my turbo kit...... If you want to ask me about it just send me an e-mail cause i dont go here on the boards that much hope this helps????? dg -------------------- ![]() |

I just reread your problem again and if you are rotating the turbo to move the oil inlet/outlet position the other guys have told you how but if you just want to rotate the intake housing there is an easier way....
You can take the housing snap ring out and then take the intake housing off...then there is a little pin inside the housing area, if you pull that out you can adjust the housing whatever direction you want when you put it back on and it is very easy to do! You only need a pair of snap-ring pliers and a flat-head screwdriver Just another possibility????? And you should look at my other point too about the exhaust side that i told you in the last post.... Just trying to help ya out! dg -------------------- ![]() |

yeah thx man i did that already so its all set. now im in the process of running oil and coolant lines, i had to cut the wastgate push bar thing and custom mount it. lots of work involved. then i got to wire up a safc that im getting. and do the injectors and fuel pump then its jut tunning it.
well after the piping for intecooler and blow off valve. and exhaust... man i got my work cut out for me. -------------------- |
