When doing this mod, are you guys changing the entire shifter assembly with the 7th gen or just the shifter? thx

just the shifter itself and the bushings that go under the assembly where the bolts go to the floor. you keep the whole plastic assembly.

Thanks guys. I was just looking for a way to use the 7th gen metal bushings instead of the rubber ones. Also, I was talking to someone and they said shifting aggressively , pushing too hard on the shifter could cause internal damage. He said newer cars have adjustable stops. I don't think our gen has it. Thoughts?

It might be easier to take the whole stock assembly out FIRST, then put in the 7th gen shifter. That made it worlds easier for me and detaching the shift cables from the assembly is easy peezy.

if you call TWM, you might be able to get replacement bushings.

you use BOTH the 7th gen shifter and the metal spacers.

It will be this tall.
