cheers for the comments. The future plans are most likely to be small cosmetic changes as opposed to anything huge but clear side repeaters rather than orange and then possibly a facelift conversion then the clear indicators there too before thinking about removing the orange from the rear JDM's then look into projector headlights

Apart from that perhaps given time I'll look into changing the manifold / downpipe then look at changing the exhaust for a more JDM style than it has at the moment although I'm reasonably happy with the sound at the minute

Decat is possible again although I don't want to push my luck too far with the local police forces frown.gif

After that then perhaps a different rear spoiler (I want a C-One spoiler to be different but they're not too common)

If anything else pops up then I'll maybe jump onto that too but I guess we shall see what happens smile.gif

and for todays mod I've ordered myself a Kenwood Head Unit as well although that wasn't planned for one of the next things although the price of it I can't complain at all for it. I only bought it as the colours change haha

I've had one before in my old 6gc except I forgot about the Momo Raptor gearknob went too far forward and scratched the front of the screen frown.gif

Fingers crossed this won't end up the same

Nothing else will be happening between now and September sadly though as I've got a holiday to pay for so the car's taking a back seat for the minute frown.gif

well that didn't last too long. I've now got the windows tinted in Limo black which I thought maybe overkill but it's come out better than I thought smile.gif

More soon no doubt haha

I know it's probably overdone but it's just the best look for the front of our cars... you need projectors! With front clear signals.

Beautiful car! Love the white with white wheels, but then again I'm kinda biased since mine is the same lol

cheers for the comments

I'm thinking about converting to the facelift instead then I'll be looking for projectors but they seem ultra rare in the UK let alone very expensive frown.gif

The white on white does look good but it's a mission to keep clean frown.gif

Well no real visual updates to write home about but I've now bought her a rear strut brace to tighten the handling up and I've also managed to source a power deck spacer for her to hopefully free up a few bhp also. She'll hopefully be going on a rolling road in January so I can suss how much power she's got left now and I'm debating whether to decat her or not??

Anyways a few pics from yesterday to finish with as she'd just been washed smile.gif

Hope you like smile.gif

Well time for an update. I've just bought a Blitz SUS induction kit, some clear side repeaters and the tweeters for inside the door on the mirror cards which should hopefully help the sound stage a little as my ears are jealous that the speakers play to my feet haha

The car's been out on a run and has treated me very well indeed so she'll defo be getting more treats soon biggrin.gif

Hope you approve smile.gif

Cheers I love it in white. It seems very common though but I can see why lol

Anyways the white wheels I had previously were a bit battered and so I decided to change them for these (forgive the mazda in the pic smile.gif

They're not my ideal choice but they have kinda grown on me biggrin.gif

Shame about the wheels, they looked really awesome. I'd love to have them on my car. The black ones aren't quite as exciting, depending on your taste.

Exactly. The rear left on the old one was bashed on the outside edge which is a shame and the others weren't much better frown.gif

Eventually I'll get the black ones sprayed white I expect as I think they'd suit a bit better then as you can't really make out the shape of the spokes on them in black frown.gif

Anyways quick update. I've decided to put the majority of mods on hold although I've recently ordered myself a set of gen 7 seats to freshen up the interior.

After that I'm planning to change the steering wheel for a Gen 7 wheel too so she'll kind of be a gen 6.5 biggrin.gif

I'll update when she's got them fitted smile.gif

Sounds great! I too want a 7G wheel, though I'm not so sure about the seats. Please post photos, I'm very interested in the outcome. Maybe I'll do the same.

Well I've finally got the items I was after. I've now got the gen 7 steering wheel which arrived today and I've paid for the seats now I just need to collect then I'll be more than happy.

She still needs plenty of work but I daresay she looks pretty good as she is biggrin.gif

Cheers Rusty I appreciate it. I used to have Volk CE28N reps but they just got filthy every 2 seconds so they had to go. Eventually the black wheels will be getting sprayed white to match then it'll likely be going down a different style route after seeing WhipCream's Celica I might have fell in love with it biggrin.gif

Right then well today I fitted the gen 7 steering wheel although I've got a slight problem as in the horn doesn't work so I'd imagine I need the gen 7 horn ring also which should make life easier.

On the pre facelift they don't have the spiral connectors like the facelift do so I'll need to work something out for it

Anyways a quick pic (forgive me please it was dark)

Does suit the 6gc much better

Soon enough the g7 interior will be here and hopefully fitted

Also fixed a few other problems and spaced the wheels out slightly

I need to fit the front spats again but I can't until I've put her on the dyno to see what she's running but once she's done she'll be looking pretty again smile.gif

Thanks for reading smile.gif

And a slightly better pic

I'm currently waiting for the rails from the 7 to be swapped over so the 7 seats will fit onto the 6 but apparently the 7 rails are both shorter and thinner than the 6 so it's not a straightforward swap I was expecting frown.gif

And a daylight pic of the steering wheel fitted in my car smile.gif

Next up will be the dyno day although that's not until January. I hear the Blitz range are meant to be pretty good on power so it MIGHT surprise me for power too (fingers crossed)

Comments appreciated

Why not just put the 7GC cushions onto the 6GC frame?

Because they're completely different I've heard. It's not a massive ballache to do but the runners on the 7GC are narrower / shorter than the 6gc ones so you need to fabricate the things. And the backs of the 7 are totally different to the 6 so they'd likiely not work too well frown.gif

Cheers Edser. If yours is a prefacelift you'll need to faff with the wiring a little bit (was a total ballache if I'm honest lol) If it's a facelift it's much easier mate but it's soooo much nicer to drive with biggrin.gif

Hopefully the seats will be getting fitted tomorrow so pics to follow I suspect smile.gif

If you had a facelift Celica, the 7th gen seats would bolt right up to the 6th gen seat rails with no fabrication required. Can't wait to see pics of the seats installed. thumbsup.gif

Cheers thanks for that bud smile.gif

Not the greatest pics ever but as the front window's tinted and the seats are black it makes life very difficult to get pictures of all the seats at once so here's the best I can do for now at least smile.gif

Ignore my daft friend lol smile.gif

So yeah they're fitted and comfy now

More to follow in January I expect smile.gif

Today I've bought myself a decat for her so it'll hopefully make it a tad louder. I've been warned that with the Blitz SUS induction kit I've got it certainly won't be quiet so whether it's bearable or not will confirm whether I keep it fitted or not lol

That's likely to be the only mod for a while sadly though as I've got plenty to pay out sadly for her :-(

Or apparently not as the decat's arrived Friday and today I've managed to source some Infinity front and rear speakers for a good price although they won't be fitted for a while smile.gif

Righty then time for a small update

I've bought myself some Pioneer speakers instead of the Infinity's I was going to buy and have fitted them and I must say I've very pleased with them.

Also as it's winter she's been refitted with my blue gen 7 wheels although they make the car even lower so now I scrape the floor on a slight slope frown.gif

Anyways she's due a good service so I think that'd be next for now then I've gotta get her ready for show season biggrin.gif

Well onto my 5th set of wheels in 7 months since I've had the car and they're still not right so I'll likely end up changing them yet again frown.gif

She started as

She then went to this after I sold the blue ones

They buckled so I then got these

I got bored of them scrubbing to the point they put a hole in the arch plastics frown.gif

So I bought the blue ones again

Had these fitted 3 days then got rid yet again for these

And now I need to get the front spats fitted then I'm hoping to get her a set of SS3 riser blocks and I'll be happy smile.gif
