well, the st gt and the gts all have the same basic chassis, the st comes with the 1.8 litre 7afe, where the gt/gt-s comes with a 2.2 litre 5s-fe. for some reason the gts magically has 5 more hp (140-135). Both engines have limited aftermarket support.

the gt/gts also has a more beefy tranny.

I would highly recommend the gt or the gts if your in canada.

the reason I recommend the gt/gts, is because its easier to swap in the 3s-gte. which is a 2 litre turbo and makes people biggrin.gif
and I highly recommend it.

Welcome to the board ya stinkyfatpig

The options you definitely want is the factory Leather and 8-speakers sound system. That's what I have on my GT-S biggrin.gif

Alright, today i was chatting with a friend and we happend to talk about cars. He told me that his cousin owns a 95 Celica GT-S after hearing that i own a 95 GT. He claims that it is four-wheel-drive while i argued a little bit about it. We live in America btw. So is right? Is there GTS in america? i don't think so. Is there? Unless it is imported or something.

Werd up, GTS_Bun....heheh.....i got the same exact car as you, just in the US GT form, silver with leather, 8-speaker sound system, etc. Its definately nice having a better sounding system stock than alot of peoples $500 aftermarket setups. tongue.gif

I noticedthat there wasnt much for aftermarket for the 6gens.. its funny cause there seems to be more for the earlier models than this one...? Was there not many produced? I ask because of the limited aftermarket and because i dont see to many of them around.. I have to look out of town to get one.. anyway, what is that 2L turbo motor you speak of out of? a lexus or something..

and i like the idea of leather and a nice 8 speaker stereo..

He's talking about the 3S-GTE engine, which is found in mostly Celicas and MR2s. If you do a search on these forums for 3s-gte you'll find all kinds of information about this engine.

the 6G GT-FOUR was available in Japan and parts of Europe from 1994 to 1998. it came with a 3rd Gen 3SGTE engine that put out ~240 ps (I probably got that figure wrong, so someone correct me)

oh i see, importing a moter from japan.. thats gotta be cheap:D..

Why not just toss a turbo on the 2.2?
Speaking of.. what kind of luck have everone had with these motors, as in with putting in aftermarket and unleashing some HP out of it.. What kind of #'s are coming from them?
