I'm looking to add a bit of height to the rear spoiler as i think it doesn't really work to well on the car but i don't particularly like the style of those GT4 Riser Blocks I've seen around and just wanted to know if there were any other aftermarket options for the 6th Gen Celica ?

Cheers
Anthony

there's also the euro riser blocks. They're about half the size I wanna say, of the GT Four ones and are smooth with no wording on it.
Other than that I do believe, you either gotta make your own riser blocks or change your spoiler.

^+1 just a FYI. The euro riser is going to cause the spoiler to be right in the middle of your rear windshield. So it'll be hard to see.

Your options for raising the stock spoiler are the GT4 blocks, which you've already ruled out, the Euro riser blocks, or the DCW half riser blocks. The half riser blocks are basically just GT4 blocks, but half as tall.

Euro blocks:

DCW riser blocks:

Otherwise, it's all aftermarket spoilers.

Had never seen the DCW ones... they look better than the GT-4 IMO, smoother curves. I bet the spoiler sits right where you can't see anything back though.

i bet too, the GT4/SS3 spoiler blocks the view, but you still have a bit of a rectangular strip of vision below it.

those half sized blocks will most definitely be in the way, but you'll see above it, so peoples following distances have to be further or you cant see them

Something about the angle of the GT4 spoiler you really don't see it much - just a thin black line in my rearview mirror.

As long as it's the pre-facelift two post spoiler, yes.

The euro spoiler doesn't block vision too badly... I can still see that cars are behind me...

And at night it perfectly blocks their incorrectly angled beams...

To my understanding it should still work with the light on it, correct? Because mine is the 2 post with the rear tail light.

FYI. you have a coupe right? then these won't work for you. You need to have a hatchback+hatch spoiler to make these work.

Ahh.. thank you for clearing things up. imo it looks almost identical to the gt4 spoiler besides the light. Thanks for the info and for clearing things up! I love this forum.

Best thing would probably be to look out for a TRD curren / celica coupe spoiler.

Why would that thread make you cringe? I think its awesome how he took something that is difficult to mod in the first place mind you to doing something completely different than what we're used to. Very unique and creative and the color wasn't half bad either. I honestly think a lot of us get so wrapped up in the ssiii and gt4 look or even oem so much that we're hesitant about doing something different or thinking outside the box. If that's the case then we might as well say we drive cars because we sure dont build them we like the oem look and we sure aren't artistic in the build if we're doing what everyone is doing. All I'm saying we should strive to do something different that WE like and take the time to explore our inner artist.

Oh and I'm not b***hung malek lol. Just thought I'd donate a $1.50 :D

Lol I'm all about uniqueness or doing something not commonly pursued..I often appreciate more the time and detail put into a car than I do a car. We both know that details overlooked kills people in the field/air. (I know it's not as important on a cars appearance but that's where it originates for me)

That entire thread had zero detail. Things were hastily thrown together, fuarked fitment on literally everything. Even though it is't my style, I wouldn't have a problem with it if he took his time and focused on the details because that's where it really matters haha I'll refund your change if you go back and look at his pictures more closely! tongue.gif And an intercooler for looks? Come on now you..

Anywaaays...if the OP pursues that idea, I hope he does a better job haha
