So I just received my JDM window visors (for the second time tongue.gif), but this time they came sealed onto the actual upper door trims. So my question is; do you reaction it would be easier to remove the visors from the trim (double sided tape the whole way) and then retake it, or remove the rubber seals around the door and swap the whole black window trimming and put the rubber seal back on?

I say it'd be easier to just remove the visors from the trim they're on and put it onto your car. On our cars it's metal coated with rubber, how they removed it all without breaking or bending anything is beyond me.

Hmm.... Now that I think about it if they were able to do it and not bend or crack anything I say give it a shot on removing yours first then. That or depending on the sealant they used you can separate it with a hairdryer and plastic putty knife.

you got the RARE JDM door trim. better keep it on. hahhah.

I've always wanted the window visors but never saw a point in them.
good luck with yours, maybe do a write-up on how to install. biggrin.gif

same here, i like the way they look but cant see myself spending money on them.

i'd try to swap just the visors, extemely carefully, if they put up a fight then you could do the whole trim?

which ever you do, take pics like cheela said smile.gif

Yeah... I wanted a set so that I could drive with the windows open in the morning when there was a bit of frost on the car - even just a tiny bit of water left on the window form overnight (or the washer bottle) and it is flying in for ages tongue.gif That, and they look kinda cool tongue.gif

I bought a set for $105 + postage on eBay (PayPal dispute pending... tongue.gif) and they arrived broken, and not for a 6th gen. Second attempt I won a set at auction for $22 + postage!!!!! XD

I will take pics of whatever I do.... but I doubt it will be anything too scientific tongue.gif

i would remove them from what they are currently attached to.
use a hair drier to heat up the parts so they seperate easier.
