Northeast meet... Options

I'm going to try and set this meet up. I need a few things from anyone interested though...

1) Exactly which city?
Jersey City
Atlantic City
Philly
Bostan
New York City
or any other city you guys can think of..

2) After we decide which city, I'm going to need one or more people from that exact area to name places that we could initially meet as well as any other ideas of things to do. We also need ideas for hotels and where everyone could get rooms for relatively cheap, since most people on here are spending their money on their cars (and if you aren't you should be).

3) I also want possible ideas for dates. It will have to be a weekend for sure, but maybe could extend either way. Just give up possible suggestions.

4) We need an ongoing list of people that are for sure in and their email addresses.

I'm absolutely 100% down for a Philly meet ....my brother lives in Center City Philly, so im familliar with the area and whatnot. We should meet at Dave and Busters, or someplace like , and cruise from there- i.e. the Jersey Shore, Atlantic City, state forests for cookouts, etc.

This would be a great meet sometime in the summer, like around June/July, maybe. Lets keep it alive this time.

philly would be a good spot because there is a huuuuuuuuge parking lot a little down delaware ave. from dave and busters and we could meet there than go to the fdr park and cook a bbq on the grills over there by the stadiums and we can go cruise...i am 110% down for this idea....and if someone needs me to help with something i definatly can just email me...but i don't want to get stuck with organizing the whole thing...too much for one person lol guitarplaya7@yahoo.com

The carlisle car show is being held in Harrisburg, Pa this year. It is may 15-16. I am already going. We could meet up the day before the show (friday). Last year at carlisle was awesome for anybody that didnt go!!

Heres another concern, D&Bs sounds really cool and all (theres on in the Palisades Mall) but Im not sure how many people are at least 21...I am 21 and my g/f is 21 and that shouldnt be a problem, whose sub 21?

i think the best thing to do is try to find a place in the center of the majority of the people that are going to show up... most people say philly but then people futher up north might not want to drive down that far.

What about at the Carlisle show? Its in Harrisburg, PA this year which is more towards the center of PA, and is a 2 day event. Its always a good time, and would probably be better than HIN because its a little longer and maybe even bigger (I've never been to HIN, but Carlisle is huge). Check it out everyone...

Hot Import Nights is the biggest show u'll ever see.

I dont kno much bout Carlisle but HIN is where EVERYONE is. Superstreet mag, Turbo, Sport Compact Car. All of them will be covering the show. Not to mention sponsored cars, and the models.

I went to the on in NJ couples years back, stayed in the hotel and got drunk, then went to the show. I tried taking pics of the cars, didnt work.

Oh yeah i cut a line of about 100ppl waiting to get an autograph from the MA Audio model. Oops.

i also know that the hot import nights in PA after 9 or 10 pm turns into a club and all the models get down and they have DJ's and shlt too...i think philly would be a great idea...theres tons to do...south street...different places to eat...dave and busters...bunch of places to cruise...HIN...and quite a few people from the site are from philly and just outside of it
and yea i think the HIN in NJ was the better one in the past few years, this last one sucked the one in atl. city was good too

Carlisle's atmosphere was crazy after the show at the hotels. I knew a lot people down there with very nice cars and nobody had any problems with other people messing up their cars. Carlisle this year is at the PA Farm show bulilding which is on 26 acres. My vote would be towards carlisle since i am already going. Go to the web site and check it out!!

i'm pretty familiar with philly actually...i go every weekend for the races the past 3 years but i know there are a few parks over there with grills and stuffmaybe that would be a good place...there is also a huuuuuuuuuuge parking lot off of i-95 in phily where we could meet up...so basically what i am trying to say is that i can help also with all the planning. also if we plan on going to dave and busters, after 10pm you can't get in if your not 21 or older...we should probably make a list of who can come and on what week so we can get this meet movin

ok someone has to take charge here and set a date and time in stone!....so here goes.

the valley forge location and date has been officialy changed. the new place and date is set for....

April 25th @ Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR) Park

it's in south philly, and is a public park, it's right next to the sports complex, the reason for this location is because we won't have to deal with park rangers and philly cops won't really bother us.

Also it's directly off of I-95 so it's easy access from anywhere.




this date and location is now set in stone... we want to make this a huge turn out so if you have to work that day, now is a good time to request and off day from your boss.
