Thank you batman.

Just got the engine earlier today. Says on the transport ticket that its a 6 speed? Never heard the beams came 6speed.
Anyway... This should be done in a week or two hopefully

BEAMS came mated to the S54 transmission, not a 6 speed. Simple mistake. Swapping an MR2?

It was the closest to not having a chopped up harness. It came with the engine harness going to the ecu. It makes my life a lot easier than getting one thats is chopped up like chinese food

Understood. It doesnt have the wires going to the under hood fuse box.
It came with ecu but for some reason only 2 of the 4 spots on the ecu have a plug to it.

Gotcha. As long as you're aware, carry on. smile.gif I actually have a spare Celica BEAMS harness I'm not using. It's been extended and is fully functional, but not truly finished- it has butt crimps instead of properly soldered splices, and it's missing the VSV plug and oil pressure plug.

Not much of a suprise. Plus i looked at it and it looks like i "could" use it the way it is and extend the wires to passenger side. The spot where they clipped off, i am searching for a wiring diagram atm.

Moving the alternator, power steering pump, coolant lines, etc. could be a pain. There could be a couple of partouts on the BEAMS Owners Group.

Quick update: injured my foot. Swap is delayed. But while my foot is healing. I will be sending the mr2 beams back for their celica beams. Seen they had an uncut harness st202 that just came in. Looked at the invoice and it said this engine was the st202. So i called to complain and they said they will exchange it for me. Awesome!

That's extremely fortunate. I haven't even had a free minute to dig my spare harness out of storage to send you pictures yet. Hopefully your foot heals quickly and you can get started with the swap soon.

Thanks. The idiot that i was working on his rear brake disc swap, decided to start his car to bleed the brakes. Unfortunately, it was in first gear. He let go of clutch, car jumped forward and pinched my foot between my deck and his car.

The invoice also stated it was a 6 speed and i told them it was not haha. So their description was way off lol

Don't forget to transfer the engine hook from the passenger side of your 5S to the BEAMS. Took us a couple of hours of fighting to get mine to sit in place properly before we gave up and used the hook from the 5S.

He uses his favourite weather hardened oak tree and rope. tongue.gif I'm going to take a guess he just drops everything out from the bottom.

Either way, looking forward to seeing another swapped Celica. It's nice to see them how they're supposed to be. (DISCLAIMER: That includes all engine swaps)

Yessir. I drop it out from the bottom. Less hassle of angling it out from the top

Finished up some wiring today. Just extending wires for now.

Theres a ignition box on the firewall that the plug on harness doesnt fit. Any ideas?
Then i notice theres 3 vac lines on the engine side on intake mani on the 5s and only 2 on the beams.
Please give me some insight on these things.
