This is really cool, and I had no idea that it existed. Also, I had no idea that Michigan had so many members,. if any of you are ever looking for cars or parts in MI let me know I have a few programs that constantly monitor Craigslist in Michigan for deals on Toyota stuff.

I took a glance but I dont see the people that active on the site. This site is slightly slow, since celica aren't that "sought" after. They guy who I bought my DD from was amazed I drove an hour and a half to go and get it from Findlay Ohio. I just love celicas. Had a fifth gen with over 350,000 miles and it drove like a brand new car. Had to sell it due to job loss about 5 years ago. Fell in love with the 6th gen body style besides no flip up headlights.

Wish more people would have more activity here.

^^ Same..

When I first signed up I literally clicked every name on the map that was in like a 40km around me and 99% of members were inactive..

I love celicas aswell but its not a common sight where I'm at and when I do see one its seriously beat up and not taken care of

the 6th gen celica is now gone into decay. It will rise up when the gt4 is legal to import. But with better platforms now a day, no one wants a 5sfe.. when i first signed it, it was very active, and new projects going in.

Most that had celicas in the days, just traded. You have to have sentiment towards the brand to keep putting money on a car that has absolutely no value.

you can spend 10k on this car, fact of the matter, the value will never go up... because there are too many still, and there are mr2s and supras getting all the attention....

no one is doing new swaps, and the 3sgte is a good swap, but threads about them do not bring much interest in people, dont know why.

That is what everyone says. Lot of members say that. But eventually it happens People wreck the car or people trade the car. There's been a lot of examples in the board throughout all this past year's. It's the nature of the car game.

Im aware a lot of people say it. A lot of people say it about any car they own, but it is my best intentions to keep it as long as possible smile.gif

I won't be getting rid of mine... At least not until the GT4 becomes available. I'm probably going to be investing $1k into body work this spring and another $400+ into tires, so I'm pretty dedicated. No one here has Celicas that they do anything with. That's why I like mine. I'm the only one at the shows, I'm the only one on the streets, and I turn heads. It's a fun car and it's a blast to drive into a corner hard in. I beat my boosted buddies through turns all the time (they drive subaru's and RWD platforms) and they can't understand how a small, under-powered FF car can scoot so quick through a corner. The true test this summer will be autocross. Finally getting to use the car for what it's good at and not just bombing around city streets at stupid speeds.

I have two now, and am considering picking up a third one. I'm obsessed with them, and the only other vehicles I want are a supra and a Tacoma.

Only reason I'd sell mine is if someone offers a huge stack of $, a bit beyond what I've invested in the car.

I understand where rabitrd is coming from. Im probably the only 6gc owner in my area who's into "dolling" up my celica. All the other celicas I've seen around doesn't have much done to it besides like rims. And that's about it. If anything lowering springs. I myself had always planned on keeping my car. If one day I happen to total my car. Ill for sure stay in the Toyota game. Most likely a corolla or Celica.

No active members in my area kindasad.gif. I never will get rid of my car unless something terrible happens. Sure I could sell it and get something faster but the Celica just feels more unique and special to me. The Celica has always been underrated, and overshadowed by the Supra and MR2. I'll always be in the Celica game, it doesn't matter if its my dd or something fun to drive on weekends.

I checked my area and out of two dozen markers on the map only one that's been active anytime recently, and yet the pics of his car has euro plates(? In Independence, mo?)

I'll keep this car forever unless it gets smashed into a ball. It maybe 3 more years before I can afford to buy something else for a dd and then spend some money on body and paint, but it will happen.
If anything it makes me want to see if I can find a turbo 5th gen too.

I know I been looking on the map for ohio and the majority of people got rid of their Celica's, I found a select few that I been in touch with but gotta say on my 5th 6th gen celica, these cars are amazing, currently going to be doing a v6 so just sourcing out the rest of my parts. Hopefully if enough people do a v6 swap there might be in a interest in celicas again, wishful hoping right hahaha
