Well, it's been an interesting year so far, I picked up my 99 GT, and have been really enjoying it. My 94 has been resting all winter, and dreaming of a v6 swap in time for summer.

Then, along came this,

I'm now debating on picking up the MR2, it's got a blown 5fse and I've always planned on getting one of these after I finished my swap. But should I just take the amazing deal now, and grab this MR2 for $1000, and do the swap to the MR2 first. Then next winter I can do the swap in one of my Celica's?

What does the community think? Would you swap a v6 into the 6th gen you own, or buy the MR2 and swap it in there first? In the defense of the MR2, my 94 Celica needs about $1000 worth of love before I'd bother swapping the motor in anyways.

Personally, a V6, $1500 MR2 sounds fantastic. (Assuming you find an engine for about $500) either way, it's fun.

I love Celicas but I'd much rather put engine work into an SW20, go for it.

Alright,. so first off, I found the one I'm looking at for 1800 initially and offered him 1000 so never pay what someone is asking, secondly here are several that are closer to you but all of them run.

1992 MR2 -- Great Deal 1400
1992 MR2 TURBO - 2100 ** needs work
1993 MR2 - Black Nice - 2500
1991 MR2 Green - 5 Speed - 2500
1991 MR2 Black 5 Speed - 2600
1991 MR2 Red - 2600
1991 MR2 TURBO - Possible Blown Head Gasket - 3000
1991 MR2 Red - 5 Speed - 3100
1991 MR2 Red - 5 Speed - 3800

and again, if I end up not buying the one I posted, I will post all the details, I will also update as I find more

You are delusional if you think it only costs $500 to swap in a V6.
