Hey 6gc members, I'm getting ready to drop some money on dropping my car, and I'm wondering if I should go with the Megan Megan - Ebay Link or with Tein S Tech - Tein - Ebay Link

As I've looked it seems like it's a split and both are in a lot of cars. I'm looking for the drop more than anything but don't want ride quality to suffer too much. With the prices only $2-3 different I am having a hard time choosing.

I'd go for whichever has a stiffer spring rate.

no teins for me and my friends, get something else than tein unless you plan to get the high end ones where its no longer bang for buck. I had tein coilovers and took em off right after and bought something else.

all my friends after their first buy, no longer got them again. they can be bouncy, lack of adjustment, low spring rates.

Tein is what's on my car and what has been on there for over two years, no problems whatsoever. The thing with Tein though is you have to look out for counterfeiters, their site has a page dedicated to showing the differences. Tein is made in Japan where as Megan is made in China/Taiwan, if that makes any difference to you.

IIRC, Megans are much stiffer than the Tiens.
I have Tien on my car and its fairly similar to stock in terms of ride quality. I'd go with those

I've had my Megan springs for a little over 2 years. Love em, very comfortable ride and quite a bit of a drop for springs.

Hmm those teins say they are for an AWD AT200. I wasnt aware toyota made an awd Celica ST.

Ive got Eibach Sportlines(-1.5"F, -1.5"R I think?) over KYB 2GRs and the front suspension bottoms out ridiculously easy, but the rear end is really nice and stiff.
It gives the car a tendency to oversteer rather than understeer. I suppose having only a .9"drop in the rear with the teins would solve this problem.
As for the Megans, the roads in Texas arent smooth enough for 2" of drop, and we got some of the best roads in the states.
Its gonna be a bumpy ride and your going to have to keep an eye out for inclined driveways, speedbumps and those covers where they refill the underground tanks at gas stations. But other than that I bet it will makd your celica corner like its on rails.

With the Tein springs and KYB struts mine handles really well. Alabama roads suck, and it seems to be not too bad with a good set of seats.
