I would be interested only if price is right. It would fit a facelift right?

Yes it'd fit the facelift.
Preface will technically fit, but it will need modifications to look okay. And even after that it probably will still look a bit odd.

Wish i lived in SC!! Haha good luck on this one guys!

It will need modification assuming you have a face-lifted front bumper

So I just called vis racing and he said he has no clue when he'll get back to me with the quote, but remember we need total of 19 members to make this happen.

He said things slow down towards the end the year...

Most of the lips on their website seem to be $250-400 (probably the lower end for a standard FG lip group buy).

Add on a few dollars for shipping and you end up at around $300 for a replica body part that never fits right. Most of the ones I sell end up being $330-350 for a genuine Toyota one express shipped from Japan. Just not sure if it worth all of your continued effort.

im not entirely sure it will even work out. as i don't even have a 96-99 bumper in my hands so that if this group buy even happens how will the company that makes the molds of my tom's lip, fit it onto a 96-99 front bumper i don't have.

I'm interested in this. Getting my hands on a toms lip is proving to be quite the task so if this still might happen I'm very interested.

just got a tom's lip with no cracks at all and all tabs in tact except for one.

i called vis and they said i needed 19 members in order for them to replicate them.

perhaps if i call VIS or AIT we can get them to do 15. as it will be easier to get members. but is anyone interested. this will be my last attempt.

i checked ebay, the seller makes many kits like funked and used to have the replicated tom's lip on there but don't see it anymore...

not trying to be a Debbie downer but this thread made back in 2008 had no momentum. looks like it might be the same for this thread as well. as our community is smaller than it was 8 years ago.

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...57743&st=40

I would suggest making it out of urethane as much strong and near same material if not better thans tom's original material. which would be $300ish. unpainted. still better than what you would of paid 8 years ago at $900 for a painted one.
