Let this be a lesson to all the youngsters. We are not superman. Lol.

I cannot remember what caused it. I can tell you my story. Deep pain that burns in the butt cheek, goes all the way to the calf. Is not something you put off. It feels like a burning steel. Yup, i herniated disc between L5 and S1.

Take care of your back guys. Seats, transmissions, heads, or even a door. In the long run its not worth it.

Im having surgery soon. And recovery after that. But after recovery i will evaluate my hobby. I may have to quit a few things.

I will be more around here since i have nothing else to do. Forums and playstation for 5 weeks. Lol...

Oh man noberto. Hope surgery goes well. But 5 weeks of playstation sounds fun. I haven't even had time to touch mine. Be safe.

Yea LOL me too at work. But that's because the other guy can't do ANYTHING without help. Can't even pull a control arm down from a knuckle by himself.

Mean while I'm rebuilding a whole front end alone, holding the steering box with one hand and lining up the bolts with the other...no problem. Solo diag eletrical? sure. Only thing I need help for is bleeding brakes and if I could do that alone too I would!

Bitter, just get a power bleeder. tongue.gif

Hate to hear that you got hurt, hopefully you make a quick recovery. The best part will be getting sent home with useless hydrocodone.

It's all useless, at least if you're unfortunate enough like myself to have genetic tolerance. Everytime I see an Advil or Tylenol commercial where "it got rid of their chronic pain" I want to show them what real pain is, but should I digress...

We always do a final manual bleed till we see 3 squirts in a row with no air at each wheel bled, no exceptions.

Once you're healed up you should be fine with continuing working on cars, just next time when it's something that really requires more than one person go and find said extra person. redface.gif

Or get a transmission jack, those things are great for all kinds of things.

Oooh, and a car lift.

I know of a very nice lift in like-new condition that would fit in your garage perfectly. The price is more than fair. I'm tempted to get it for myself. If I had the room, I'd be loading up the 4Runner and a trailer and heading your way to pick up your first gen, but I think you should finish it when you start feeling better. It's just a matter of time!

a month or two won't kill anything, you can work on smaller projects for the cars in the mean time.
just pretend it's winter.

get into headlight retrofitting, learn about building LED arrays and make custom tail/turn lights.

Aw crap. I just bumped your project thread too.....

I've been off the boards for a while and was feeling out of it. Needing inspiration, I headed to yours and Luke's threads to make myself feel bad about being lazy.

I hope you're feeling better though!
