Could be stuck IACV if holding the throttle open keeps it running and have no other issues driving it down the road.

Mine is doing something similar, I want to try and seafoam it first to make sure it's breathing fine. If it persists I might check the temperature of the CAT to make sure that doesn't need to be changed out. Best of luck to you and I'll let you know my results and hopefully we can work this out 👌🏼

I looked at your pictures to figure out that you have a Fed spec car, and not cali spec, because your ignition coil is inside of the distributor and not externally mounted on the firewall.
Had the same thing happen to me a few years back, I would say it's the coil on your car because they usually die right after start up. You can look up how to test the coil online, it's really simple. Replaced mine with one from autozone and it worked perfectly fine. |

might have been fuel vapor lock, could be anything really. On a return fuel system under 30-40 psi in winter in Texas? ![]() Possible IAC sticking, possible coolant temp sensor issue causing an excessively rich or lean condition at start, those would be my guesses. -------------------- |
