Well it started again valentines night... My spark plug blew out again and the threads are gone this time. Well this means the car is out of comision for the time being.... So Instead of replacing the head which seems to be the only option I am going to swap. Thats good news except no way has any 3s-gte's in stock (185 or 205's) So im looking for a clip if anyone has any sugestions.

Anyways the car is sitting in my parking space at my apartment parking lot for the past few days. And well last night someone broke the passenger window and stole my radio and cd's. Life gets better. And for some reason the power is totally out, have no idea what the hell they did to the car. I just needed to tell my story. not much of a story but yeh...

if you can't find one in CA, you should be shot wink.gif

Go to a local shop that does swaps and such. I am sure they can get one for you. Isn't Venus auto out there?

They don't have any 205's or 185's... but they do have a 215... go ahead and give that a shot... It'll be more difficult... but it'll sure be the only one around.

As far as the 5sfe goes... try to tap it. Just buy a slightly larger plug, same heat, and drill/tap to fit. I did this on my Dad's 22R truck. Worked fine...

nd a st185 in Canada for a whopping 1k$... sweet price! so the swap is gona be happening and turns out I can do the insurance claim at the shop im doing the swap at!

And Kwanza thats a good idea and all but the 5s is an aluminum (spelled it wrong) block. Alum. not being strong metal means they dont want stuff like this happening so they put in a steel or iron sleeve where the plugs screw in, making it less suseptable to my problem. So tapping it out would put me into the alum part and would be very weak and the problem would just happen again.
