what's the stock speaker sizes for the fronts and rear of my car? 94 st

stock fronts are 8", stock rears are 6.75" or 6.5"

In the front you can get an adapter plate to make 6 1/2's 6 3/4's or 5 1/4's work. In the back the factory replacement size is 6 3/4's, but its not hard to make 6 1/2's work, I just used some self taping screws.

mine are both uk models... but i suspect the speaker sizes are the same across the continents... if you wanted a direct replacement for the fronts, Pioneer do an 8" speaker.. The rears are a biatch to get to as well ! You need to remove most of the rear seats and plastics to get to them ! to get a normal sized off the sheld speaker in you can adjust the stock fitting to get them to fit - as mentioned. |

His numbers are right. The front doors are 8" but most companys don't make speakers that big but you can always get 8" subs like I did. |

Mine are 6 1/2" all around. However, the stock speakers in the front were 8" with an adaptor ring.. straight from the factory.. odd. My current setup is funnn though =D

The setup is kinda strange. Your factory speakers will have a big metal ring around them to make them fit.

The rear speakers are quite a pain to get to. I got creative one day and decided to modify the rear speakers to accept 6x9 speakers. Works pretty well and sounds a hell of a lot better if you ask me with some Pioneer 6x9 3-ways. I've been meaning to do a write up but haven't had the time. Think anyone would be interested?

6.5 the front you will need to make a special circle cut out to make a 6.5 fit. there is a how to on it. -------------------- i am awesome

its 6 3/4 but there is a metal plate surrounding the speaker which is what screws into the car. Because of this u can get any speaker u want a make a custom ring for it to fit. Just read the how to it is exelent and it tells every detail.

It really depends on which speaker system you have from the factory I think. I know mine are 6.5" or 6.75", but I'd imagine that the cars with multiple speakers in the doors(like Natalie's) have the bigger speakers.

in my Sr i have the 4 speaker system - 8" in the fronts
in the Gt it's the six speaker system still got 8" in the door. |

In the 6 speakers, are you counting the tweeters as a set of speakers? i have two tweeters, two speakers in my door (dunno what size) and 2 back speakers.. Is this a four speaker set up? Where are the final two if it is not? How can I find my speaker size (looking to buy new ones anyway)
