The Chrome on my projectors chrome ring thing have come off, any way to fix it???
It just disappeared when i touched it.... (doing the LHD convertion) Thought about 1/16 model build kit car's chrome paint.... but dont want to ruin anything... Last option will be just paint it black... will that work/be cool? (anyone done it?) Pic: http://s753.beta.photobucket.com/user/tto0...?sort=3&o=0 |

Chrome on the projectors and other stuff like them is done by electro-plating I believe.

Chrome on the projectors and other stuff like them is done by electro-plating I believe. When the material is metal that's the case. On plastic it's some kind of vacuum forming. Plastic can be chrome plated, but it takes lots of steps and there'd be evidence of the base metals on the projectors. The Krylon metallic chrome should work well. -------------------- 2001 Miata LS 5-speed
