Hi Guys,
I'm having an issue with the left rear brake on my Celica. It started just before I changed my discs and pads and went away for around 800km of driving on the new discs and pads. When I changed the brakes I regreased all of the caliper slide pins etc and bled the brakes and had absolutely no issues until the noise came back about 3 weeks later. The grease on the suspect caliper slides did look a little dirty and dry, so I thought I solved the issue when I cleaned it up and regreased it. I've had another look at it again and regreased it, it made the noise slightly less noticable for about a day and but now it's very audible and I can feel it in the brake pedal again, it only makes noise at about 30km/h and under. The strange thing is the caliper seems to slide fine, very similarly to the other side when I grab it and try to move it around with the wheel on. I there something else I should be looking at? Other than that the car seems to stop fine, though the brake pedal is a little spongy and still goes all the way to the ground if I press it when stopped with a little force. Thanks |
