Yehp we got a rental in Hong Kong, can't remember the name of it, but it had this same type of feature. You flipped a switch and it ran on propane...pretty cool! My Dad also had to deliver an older bus once to some company across state and I went with and it was hell trying to find a place that sold propane for it to run on cuz it needed a certain kind.
