Hello all, it's been a while since I've been here. So here is my problem, my exhaust system is all stock and one day I noticed that the muffler/pipe(?) had a hole in it(?) I have no idea how it happened and it's been a year since it happened. Well anyways, I took my car to the local muffler shop and asked them if they could weld the thing off. Long story short, they welded it off and it's been running fine but now it's time for my yearly state inspection and I need a muffler to even get my car inspected. I saw a universal muffler on ebay for $55 and $15 shipping but my problem is that the inlet is at 2.5 inches and I've seen that the stock piping for the Celica is only at 1.75 inches. So how would I make that fit exactly?? Thanks for the help! smile.gif

But I don't know how much that'll cost me, this ebay one is only $70 plus shipping and probably $15-30 for installing? I have no idea how much their homemade mufflers would cost me plus installation, however you do have a point in that.

The shop is highly unlikely to be making mufflers -- even the shop near me which does custom ironworks buys mufflers from the factories. Call and ask for a price for a new muffler. Asking doesn't cost anything.
