Has anyone ever dealt with a rusted fuel line that runs to the gas tank before? If so how hard was the work to perform or how expensive was it to have it repaired? About to pick up a 6g but it has this problem. Also has the brake line rusted out as as well. As of now both were just cut where it was rusted and welded. So no new part was replaced for the old part, it was just welded. Gas line still gets moist and you smell it a bit.
How much money am I gonna have to cough up to have this repaired? Is it even worth it if I have to replace all of the fuel line and all of the brake line? |

first off, where is the fuel line rusted? all the way back at the tank? up at the filter? what i did in my Supra ( i didnt have to, i needed to) i drilled out the feed line that was 5/16 thick. I drilled it out so i could install a -8 bulkhead fitting. i needed a much larger fuel line.
you could do something similar just with -4 bulkhead and run a new line. When i designed the return fuel system for the 7th gen, i used 3/16 brake line i think and a tube bender to shape it along the under body. then i flared the ends and put -4 AN collars on. you could do the same. -------------------- 2001 Celica GT-S Turbo
