 Check Engine Light Code 12? |

My check engine light came on and I tested it. I got a code 12. I've researched it a bit and I think it means that no RPM signal going from the distributor to the ECU. Is that correct? How would I fix this?

I haven't heard of anything. I've used both brands before with no problems.
