hello fellow Celica nutters,

i know about the search and i've had a look through the members rides but i can't seem to find what i'm after,

i read a few threads about fitting different sized tyres to the 17 inch rim, i currently have 215/40R17 but i'm not overly keen on them, wouldn't mind a bit of extra grip associated with 10mm extra tread per tyre plus a bit of extra side wall (bigger profile) to fill the mahoosive aches better,

so was wondering if any one who has done this can post up a couple of pics say 1 pic of 215/45R17 and 1 pic of 225/45R17 from a side view so i can compare the difference and whether i could live with it

also if i went for 225's you reckon there would be much rubbing? i have a 38 offset i'm lowered on Tein S.Techs now as well so its not a massive drop, i'm also thinking about sticking on some eibach 5mm spacers in the future,

thanks in advance

Tom

This might be a stupid question but Tom_SS2 said that he was running Tein S Techs and Random_Stranger said that he even recommends 225/45/17 to fill in the gap with these springs, would this also be the same on a convertible?

Just tryna decide which springs to get without being too slammed (just wanna close in the gap) and getting wheels and tires at the same time but don't have ANY money to waste so I'm tryna get it right the first time on my vert.
