Just looking for some opinions on the 3sgte flywheel.
I have the OEM one, should I resurface, or purchase new lightened aftermarket? Does resurfacing cause issues with the clutch disc later on? My goals are not crazy power, I've even purchased a "OEM" feel clutch. I just don't want to have to deal with the clutch or its components for quite some time after install. What do you ladies and gents recommend would be the best route for long duration? I understand alot of it comes down to the driver, but that is not what I'm asking =) |

Getting it resurfaced it fine. It's usually about a $50 to $60 job. You get it resurfaced so that you don't have issues with it wearing unevenly.
Whereas a new lightweight flywheel would be upward of $300. |

Not even sure if that is a valid concern, I guess just something I've read but never really confirmed. Basically, how many times can they get done...or am i just placing invalid concern =P Ah the other thing I forgot to mention. When I got this engine set the clutch was rusted pretty good onto the flywheel. Have not checked for pits or anything. This post has been edited by rave2n: Apr 24, 2013 - 5:17 PM |
