Is the stock engine waterproof? I mean would I harm anything if I put a gt4 hood scoop on?

there are part numbers for a water gaurd thing that installs in the hood, to prevent water from going all over the engine.
do a search for gt4 part numbers, you'll find what i am talking about -------------------- 1994 Celica GT4 WRC Edition
