I went from 17x7 shod in 225/45 to 15x6.5 with 185/65. The tire is not optimal and is a large downgrade in grip, but the car is lower and feels much better dynamically with lower wheel weight and rolling diameter. Technically, this is still an upgrade since factory specs are 14x6 and 185/70.
