i have a second gen 3sgte. recently replaced a fuel line. the car will start, but dies shortly after. i bought a used iac valve (old one was filled with carbon) also got resistance specs for the maf and it checked out. can anyone lead me into the right direction. maybe some specs for the coil and ignitor? gonna do some more researching at work tomorrow.

They are normally in the open position when not powered. So if you disconnect the power source from them the car should idle (but just a bit on the high side).
If disconnecting the IAC valve didn't fix the problem, then thats not your issue. You can bridge B+ and FP in the diagnostic box to make your fuel pump come on and see if that car runs that way. Then pull out your plugs and check for spark. If both of those check out, then you have a loose hose clamp or some other vac leak somewhere after the afm. Any small air leaks will cause a 2nd gen to stall out and not hold idle. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
