Hey guys,

I am planing to do some LED lighting in my Celica tomorrow (currently 12AM in New Zealand at the moment lol)
I have 30cm red led strips to put underneath the dash board to light up the footwells.
In my Celica, there seems to already be foot well lights there... Stock Toyota ones, which do not go. They did when i first bought the car 6 months ago, but have since stopped. They weren't very bright.
I was planning on wiring them into the pre-existing wiring for these lights, but as they don't run i need to find a way of getting them working again.
Has anyone had this issue? Or know where these wires run so i can see if the wires damaged, unpluged or a fuse is blown? Please biggrin.gif
Otherwise i will just pull the door panel off, and run them off the courtesy lights.

Cheers, Liam.

Looks good smile.gif

So did you keep the original wiring unit or start from scratch? Shoot us a pm if you pulled the JDM unit out and don't want it smile.gif

The actual box control unit was screwed. So it would of had no use. It has new wiring, but it uses the same connectors from the JDM box to the actual power input.

The JDM lighting was very dim even when it decided it wanted to work. I'd suggest you'd make your own as well. Except use a similar hulk green colour to the JDM one. It just used T5 bulbs with a green cap, you could probably get an LED strip from Aliexpess or you could just get the same bulbs and connectors and wire it in yourself?

Ahh okay. Did you wire up your new ones on a time delay, or are they just with the door ajar lights? I want mine on a delay since I want that ignition ring light! tongue.gif (And I knew I could make the circuit myself... I am a second year electrical engineering student... I just wanted moar JDM bits tongue.gif)

I am planning to get some warm white bulbs like the stock dome lights... I think it will look more classy than blue LED's which is what I have in the rest of my dash smile.gif

Yeah no time delay. But thats something for another day. I wonder if i could get one from a wreaker or even get one outta of something else. I used to have a Primera (yes i know, a primera) and that had time delays, and my leds used to fade out, and it looked so good
