I just bought a 1994 celica and was looking for a group to join and cam across this!! I hope to keep people posted on my work and receive help where I need it.

She has a weird winding nosie when accelerating like the noise it makes when reversing.any idea what it could
be?

Does it kind of sound electric? If so have you done your alternator lately? Belt may be too tight and that is what is causing my sound, need to adjust it just don't have the time.

nope foundout it was in the gear box. The car had been sitting around for a while and all the oil had gone bad.
