Ok, so I'm redoing my headliner going with black felt. I may paint my map light panel black as well. So going with this theme has anyone reupholstered their sun visors? My drivers side one is kinda ...droopy?? Any and all ideas are welcome.

I haven't taken an in depth look into it. If I had to guess you'd have a half for the front and a half for the back and run your stitching in the middle edge.

It's not a stitch. the material is like a cloth covered vinyl. If you take an xacto knife you can follow the seam then you have a pattern for your new material. There is a foam layer with cardboard at the core. I plan to use new sheet foam glued to a new piece of cardboard. I also plan to paint the mirror frame black and allow it to show instead of covering it as Toyota did. With materials in hand should take about an 1 1/2 for both visors. |
