Been looking at starting the purchases for my build. To start I am searching for the the e153 lsd trans. I have found a few on ebay and what not but for pricing reasons I was thinking about just comboing it with a motor, (another 3sgte most likely.) Anyways, the companies with the jdm motors for sale on ebay and all over the net never have a version of the transmission. I found a st215 caldina motor with an 5spd fwd transmission on it. Which doesnt make sense cuase the caldina didnt have a 5spd fwd M tranny. Anyways, was hopeing to get lucky with the tranny being a e153 lsd, so I called and they asked me to describe how to find out which tranny it is. Is there a proper way to describe any distinguishing features of the tranny to know if its an e153?
Seriously, these manufactures need to start marking this ****. ![]() -------------------- Celica Enthusiast with no experience. LoLs Looking for people closer to my area to talk/work on projects, let me know if your near 85635 Sierra Vista, Az

e153 trans has very long gearing. many say it is too long... along with that it is not really a necessary transmission unless there is serious power to be made. i kind of steered myself away from it. it is a rather expensive swap with customized everthing. i would rather keep the s54 trans and find an lsd for it. richee3 and tigawoods have the s54 trans with an lsd. lets hear from them about there setups.
