Overkill, you said that you bought an antenna from a 2000 Celica, but which part was that? I'm looking around on ebay, and there's the stubby kinds, the motorized antenna unit, and some aftermarket stuff.
(Now that I'm searching tonight, looks like there's some more likely possibilities showing up.... of course....) Stuff like this? example 1 Or This? Or perhaps this? I realize you went to a junk-yard to get it, but I have no car, so I'm doing this all from the seat of my desk. Thanks for the info! |

Overkill, you said that you bought an antenna from a 2000 Celica, but which part was that? Jeebus, The part from the 2000 celica was everything except the mast. Basically if you find a salvage yard with a celica that has the antenna still... all you have to do is unscrew the silver nut piece on top, and unbolt the interior piece from inside the fender (to get to it, you have to go through the hatch or tail light). Make sure you get the silver nut piece, and the black piece that sits under it. In one of the threads that I posted, there is a way that you can bend the bracket that bolts to the interior so that it will now fit the 94-99, however I simply left that alone and did not bolt it. There isnt much to the lower portion of the antenna, so I simply tightened the silver nut like it was on the 2000 celica and it holds its location just fine. My radio reception is 100% better and I love the way it looks. *Edit* this might help... you will only need items #2, #3, #4, & #5
