Hey just wanting to know if anyone has looked into rebuilding a 5SFE motor into a performance motor. Just wanting to know because I don't want to go down to the machine shop with the motor and waste my time and the machinist time so I figured that maybe someone here knows.

Depends on the plans for your car. If it's a daily then go for it. If you want power then just pit down how much power you plan to get out of it and others can answer that part. Turbo or NA would help too. Its mostly your preference. I wouldn't mind rebuilding my 5sfe into a NA car. A 5sfe NA, I think max hp you can get would be 180-200hp only if not then less.
