Im starting my mechanic classes at school and I need to buy a 10mohm DVOM I dont want to drop crazy money for a fluke just yet because knowing myself Im gonna beat the hell out of this tool the couple years of school ahead of me. Id rather buy the expensive one after I'm certified etc.. So could anyone point me to a cheaper alternative that'll get the job done for now?? They really arent giving me a lot of time either so I gotta run to a store before my class tomorrow afternoon.

I've had my Fluke88V for almost 10 years. Still using the original battery, worn out a few test leads but other than that it's been great! Snipe some auctions on ebay, I scored mine for about $250 and it's been worth every penny. It reads so much faster than most other meters it makes catching stuff a lot easier. I love the frequency read out for checking rotating sensors real quick to judge whether or not I need to dive in with the scope or check out something else.
