New celica gt4 wrc. Advice needed Options

Hi guys I'm new to celica a and turbo cars in general. I just bought a celica gt4 st205 wrc with a few mods. It has cat back exhaust and induction kit. It also has a turbo timer with boost gauge. I just had a few questions I was wondering if anyone could clear up.
The boost gauge is digital and connects upto what was a plugged port on the back of the intake manifold. I was wondering if this is an ok place to put it?
Also my boost gauge saves your peak level and this seems too high to me it records it as 1.13 Bar. I do not have the boost turned up. It seems to hit this level when I floor it then drop back down to 0.95 roughly. Is that normal? If not what could be causing it?

sounds like you have some type of boost controller installed, 1.13 bar is like 15-16psi, nothing too crazy, your just fine. the spot the boost gauge is connected to should be fine, post a pic if your not certain.
