Hey guys, ever since I bought this car the battery has been held down by cables and rags under it so it doesn't slide around. However upon turns it slides around anyways, and I've grown tired of it. I want to hold it down properly.
Would anyone mind sharing a pic of the stock battery hold down setup to see if I could replicate it with some local auto parts' trays/j-clips etc? Been trying to find stock setup pics on google for a while and I can't seem to find any. -------------------- 1993 Celica GT Coupe - sold

Yeah, the little J-bars at any local car shop is what holds down the battery. There is a hole on the front and rear side of the battery in the compartment that you hook the J's into. There is also a flat metal piece that goes over top of the battery that slides over the J-bars. Pic may help. And it can still be held down without a tray..
This was in my Subaru. Same exact battery tie down setup as the celica ![]() PS Cables were shipped. Forgot to send you a pm haha -------------------- |
