I have my car all torn apart trying to install my short shifter. It is a replica of the TWM shifter. The only thing I don't know is how to get the stock shifter out of the white thing that holds it up.

and there are no retaining clips like what mac was saying? if not than i am at a loss, just be fearless and agressive with it and you will figure it out eventually, otherwise i'm sure if you took it to a dealership or even a mechanic they could show you how to take it apart. sorry that i am no help on this one, i haven't gotten my short shifter yet.
