i did a search and have been trying to find info on what goes wrong when people try to swap a 4a engine into their celi's. it said in the feasible swap sticky that there is some problem when you use the 4a tranny and then i read about something going wrong with the power steering pump. does anyone know what exactly the problem is? coomer and mynzeyes, you guys are the ones with the experience, i'm particularly interested in your input.
btw, i know this topic has been discussed a lot, but there is no real clear cut info on it, so if anyone knows where i can find some please let me know. thanks |

like i said... (at least on ae92 corollas) the back tranny mount doesn't fit quite right... and check the above link i posted... it talks about his entire swap..
the harness: you could adapt the 7a-fe harness to work.... it matters on what 4a-gze you get and what ecu you get (ie... you use MAP it will be easier... but if you get an afm setup you'll have to run those wires)... some other wires have to be extended & whatnot... no biggy... i'm using a 4a-fe harness on a 4a-ge and extended all of 3 wires.... the downside of using the 7a-fe harness is that you'll have to change the plugs for the ECU... and you'll have to go wire hunting.... and i know those aren't the only wiring schematics for the gze... those were 2 i found quickly over on club4ag..... |
