i've been looking for a commuter car for a while. plenty out there, but nothing really caught my eye. then a family friend decided to sell this to me over the weekend. score

i pulled my roof motors out today. the driver's side just had a broken pin.
the passenger's side, however:  yup. sheared the 4 allen screws right off   attempts at retrieving the broken screws were... "unsuccessful". i ordered new screws for the "good" gearbox and new pins. i also ordered a used motor to replace the passenger's side gearbox. everything should be here by wednesday, so hopefully i can have a working roof by the end of the week. also: last friday i got my alarm in the mail. the "factory" alarm was on the fritz. i made sure to solder all connections and test along the way, and it works soooo muuuuch better now. this week i should be getting the field disturbance sensor, so i can leave the top down with no worries. -------------------- -j
