I am sorry to ask this as it's probably posted somewhere, but the SEARCH did not show it and I didn't want to go through 29 pages.
Someone please help. I was told I have a rear (main?) oil seal leak. I thought that was in the timing belt area...but some mechanic told me the leak is on the tranny side... Anyway, if you know the sticky for the DIY oil seal, please share or any post related, I would appreciate it. I actually have two seals ready since I got it with my timing belt kit...but again, the leak is from the tranny side (driver's side) so I hesitate to open my timing belt cover. Thanks a bunch! tranny side is the front main seal. but you should first check the tranny end of thr oil pan and make sure it isnt just that
