I have a 94 GT. When I shift gears it feels like Im pushing the shifter over a hump. While Im driving, its not so bad. Mostly in first gear, but I can still feel it in other gears when I shift. Is it the linkage bushings that need to be replaced or something else entirely?

Synchronizers. They're inside the transmission and buying them means buying a full transmission repair kit for some $300. Then rebuilding it yourself or having a transmission shop do it. I'd try changing out to the oil mix I suggested first to see if it tames it any.
