hey i have a 94 st with an automatic transmisson. i got the car for free so i couldnt complain, but now that i have pretty much finished my speakers and headunit. i am looking to turn my car into a more fun car to drive. I want to turn the car into a manual transmisson. is it possible, and how much money would i have to spend? i'm looking to get a 5 speed, and at the same time that i do the transmission i am going to rebuild the whole engine and get it ready to turbo it since i have a c-26 (supra) turbo just sitting in my room....again i need to know how much work is gonna be involved, how much money it is gonna cost, and if it is even possible. If its going to be way too much money then i dont want to do it, i'll just sell the car and put the money into my 86 VW GTI that has a 6 speed but that also needs a lot of stuff done to it, i would rather fix up my celi then the GTI at this point, please let me know!!!!

umm well it cost me about $450 for all my parts, but that is because i have a hook up at a salvage yard. So your looking at about $600-700 for parts which is what i was quoted from TAP recycling. Then shipping for your parts, again i did not pay for shiping so probably around $100-150 depending on where you are and where the salvage yard is.

This is where the price can change, you can do it yourself like me, i am doing it in 3 weeks around April 4thish or you can pay a shop to do it. Most people have payed anywhere from $1500-2000 for parts and labor.

You also need to buy a new clutch to go along with this so OEM is around $100 or Stage 1 since you are going turbo is about $265-300. a Flywheel has also been recommended so you can have the stock one redone or get a OEM $?? or a lightend for like $400.
