Hello, just looking at different engines but don't know where to start.

What will fit a manual tranny?
Links, suggestions, and information will help greatly.

Thanks wink.gif

H8TRAIN pretty much gave you what you need to look at...

As much as I absolutely love Supra's (I will at some point buy a 98' RSP TT 6 speed with black leather), when they were used in racing they were never actually fitted with their stock 2JZ-GTE engine.

They actually fitted them with a modified 3S-GTE to not only save weight but to give better weight distribution and lower the cars center of gravity.

You can fit almost anything into anything if you want to, but what is the end purpose of your power gain goals? Drag racing, road racing, track, auto-x, drifting...? Or is it simply to have as a DD and nothing else matters. Once you figure out what you want to do with your car you'll discover there's probably a best solution that's already been thought of for that application.

I mean with a lot of custom fabrication you can probably fit a V12 under the hood but you'll completely alter that way the car drives and handles, the hood will be raised and elongated so it'll look stupid, and you'll be looking at 70-30 weight distribution... lol.

If you want to get REALLY creative though (and have a ton of money to spend), I suppose you could strip out everything from the front seats back and fabricate a mid-engine RWD Celica. A few years ago a tuning company did that with a Hyundai Genesis coupe in trying to stuff a V8 into it. It wouldn't fit properly under the hood (and posed the balance issues I discussed before), so they made placed the V8 where the rear seats and trunk used to be lol.
