Hello, i'm just going to start off as im a complete noob but i will try my best to describe the problem i'm having, yesterday i bought a 96 gt celica convertible (for cheep) and i found out it has a running 3sgte in it. the problem i'm having is that it idles extremely rough. and will die unless i rev it up abit but while driving and my foot on the throttle it runs fine, when i'm coasting (foot off the throttle for awhile untill rpms go down) the car will die if i don't keep it my foot on the throttle, a side note it is a very cold day today so i'm not sure if its the dense air or it's something completely different. but it almost seems like it's not getting gas if i'm not mistaken. but again i'm a noob, any help would be greatly appreciated

This means that its either missing, or the car is running on an aftermarket ecu that uses a map sensor. You might want to investigate this further to solve your problem. Also having the pipe from the turbo going directly to the throttle body is an extremely bad idea. You need some type of intercooler. The guy who owned this car used to be on this site years ago, and made some really odd decisions (like the lack of intercooler) in his swap. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
