 3sgte celica problems |

Hello, i'm just going to start off as im a complete noob but i will try my best to describe the problem i'm having, yesterday i bought a 96 gt celica convertible (for cheep) and i found out it has a running 3sgte in it. the problem i'm having is that it idles extremely rough. and will die unless i rev it up abit but while driving and my foot on the throttle it runs fine, when i'm coasting (foot off the throttle for awhile untill rpms go down) the car will die if i don't keep it my foot on the throttle, a side note it is a very cold day today so i'm not sure if its the dense air or it's something completely different. but it almost seems like it's not getting gas if i'm not mistaken. but again i'm a noob, any help would be greatly appreciated

Could be the IACV is completely clogged or seized, I'd look there first.

I put a 3s in my convertible..FYI  I just found this thread, so I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I've cleaned my IACV so it was functional again and I've seen others that are completely frozen and can't be taken apart to clean (even if soaked in lubricant).
