I need help..lol. I have a 94 Gt and its been having issues lately. I can start my car and drive perfectly fine until i get some place and try to restart it. when i try to restart it....the engine will crank and start for a split second and then shut off (also makes a weird grinding noise when it shuts off)...or sometimes it wont even start at all. But when this happens...if i try and start the car and step on the gas at the same time..sometimes it'll start and drive somewhat okay.
I assumed it was a fuel issue so i changed the Fuel pump and fuel filter hoping it would fix the problem but it seems to have popped up again...any suggestions or ideas that can lead me in the right direction? Any advice will be greatly appreciated cuz i need my baby on the road again! |

efi relay in the fuse block under the hood. try that one out first. Also coolant temp sensor is like $20ish. So not to0 spendy to try out and see if it resolves the issue. Also when you bought your new fuel pump was it oem or aftermarket? and if aftermarket did it come with an adapter wire? one that goes from the new fuel pump to the harness that the old pump used to be connected directly to?

It was an Oem one, so no adapter wires or anything was included..just new clamps and a short hose to replace the old ones. I also replaced my coolant Temp sensor before thinking that could be the issue as well..but not luck lol..ive been busy all weekend so hopefully i can get to checking the EFI relay and others out tomorrow before work! thanks again guys..i really appreciate it |
