So i recently bought a 94 celica st 7afe, want more power obviously and found a 5vz-fe from a 4runner for 500 with ecm and all wiring. Was inquiring how much work would be needed to swap this in vs 3vz or 1mz. Also what transmission would i need. I have read k-esds swap but i just want to clarify if its more complicated swapping it into a st than a gt. What motor mounts would be needed, what axles, and such. If i can keep it a cheaper swap and not extensively hard ill go for it. Anyone shed some light on this?

Yeah, granted mine is a bit more complicated as mine was into a MR2, but the headache of doing the wiring was something I was more than happy to punt off to MR220V. He returned to me a complete harness that had the fit and finish of an OEM unit. It made it all plug and play, and all I had to do was plug it all back in and route it accordingly. It would be best to label absolutely every plug as you remove it from the V6 so you know where everything goes when you put it back on.
If you don't want to pay someone to do your harness then you're going to need to look up wiring diagrams for both vehicles and figure out what needs to go where. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
