If this thread needs to be moved to a different section that's up to the mods, it's not 100% directly 6th gen related, however it it very much 3SGTE or more specifically 503E related

Yeah but in the end it's a purpose built race engine so whether you're looking at a 503E or something more popular in the GT class like a built S54B32 (2000-2006 M3), you're going to end up paying between $10k-$15k for it.

You could I guess go through the process of making modifications to the block and head etc. to match the 503E. With the proper tools and skill you can do anything I guess but in general if you're just a buyer for a track only race engine to run in say... EP class in SCCA, you're going to shell out $15k for it.
