Ok so I have a 95 celica gt , and it stalled on me for the first time. I was at a drive tru engine sounding good I stepped on the gas and it instantly died no hesitation tried to turn it on the starter worl but engine would not turn. I tried 3 times before I called a tow truck. In the evening I tried again and it turned on so I left it running to see if it would stall and sure enough 20-25 minutes later same thing did not start till after a hour. Can u guys tell me what can cause this by the way I have a check engine code 12.

Funny....cause I got a code 12 today too. The readings were not good between ne and g-. Yup its the pickup in the distributor. They should be marked in the diagnostic port. If you set your multimeter to measure continuity you should get a beeping sound when the engine is rotating. Im living off of North 820 and 35 now, I have time off at the beginning of the week if you need a hand. @medina95gt Hmm, it sounded like a faulty ignition coil. Autozone or OReilly should of been able to test the coil for you with a multimeter, you can also check the magnetic pickup with a multimeter. Must be all the rain we got.
